POLIKARPOS KARKAVITSAS

Polikarpos Karkavitsas is an Engineer of Urban Planning and Regional Development with a MSc in Transport Engineering. He owns more than 15 years of experience in Strategic Planning and implemention of co-funded projects.
He has been an executive of the companies DIEVROPAIKI CONSULTING SOLE PARTNER LTD (headquarters in Volos), Business Architects Consultancy (Thessaloniki), while as a freelancer he has collaborated with many Municipalities, Development Agencies, Ministries and Universities. In the period 2012 – 2014, he collaborated with the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Council (SASTH) as Head of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Unit, completed as a project team member the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the Metropolitan Area of Thessaloniki, the first plan of its kind prepared in Greece, according to the EU directives.
Since 2014, he has been in the team of “Lever SA – Development Consultants” initially as head of the public sector department, in the period 2016 – 2020 as Director of the department and since 2021 as General Director with responsibility for the smooth operation of the company and its projects.
