Grigoris Konstantellos

Grigoris Konstantellos was elected Mayor of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni in September 2014 and re-elected in May 2019.

He has been actively involved with local government since 1990 when he was elected to Town Council of the Municipality of Voula. Later, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Town Council (1990-1994) and was appointed as Vice Mayor (2007-2010).

With an academic background in public administration, political science, and management, as well as in aviation, he brings a multifaceted perspective to his role as Mayor. Prior to being Mayor, he was a Commander for Olympic Airways and Olympic Airlines. He also worked as a pilot for UN peacekeeping operations.

Whilst Mayor, Konstantellos has aspired to make the Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni an example for other municipalities in Greece and abroad in the fields of innovation, green technology, sustainability and civil protection. The Municipal Authority has embraced the principles of Circular Economy and incorporated them in its administration.
