Dimitris Verelis has been working for Piraeus Bank Group over the last seventeen years
Supervising the teams responsible for the implementation of the financial instruments in cooperation with Development Organizations such as ETEAN, the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Investment Fund (EIF), the Institution for Growth (IfG) and the European Bank Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as well as the local Hellenic Development Bank, while at the same time he coordinates the Group’s presence in development initiatives sponsored by the Greek state or the EU
Moreover, he oversees the Group’s business offering in the sustainability sector
Additionally, he represents Piraeus Bank to the Hellenic Banking Association in issues related to Development and Sustainable financing and participates as a member in a number of internal committees of Piraeus Bank Group.
Supervises and coordinates the Group’s business involvement in issues related to the NSRF funds, the Developmental Law and other developmental initiatives, national or European,
Supervision of the Bank’s RRF participation – directed the preparation and set out of the relevant bank products and processes
Additionally, Dimitris supervises
- the Group’s RES financing support team
- the Financial Institutions relationship team
- The team responsible for the implementation of ESG criteria into the Bank’s financing
