Biography
Alexandra Sdoukou currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, assuming this position in June 2023.
Prior to her current role, she held the position of Secretary General for Energy and Mineral Resources from 2019 to 2023.
From 2004 onwards, she has actively participated in the administration of co-financed European programs within the Development Program Management Organization Unit (MOU S.A.). Throughout her career, she has occupied significant administrative roles within various ministries, including the Ministries of Economy, Development, as well as Environment, Energy and Climate Change. Her expertise lies in the formulation, execution, and supervision of energy policies. Notably, between 2017 and 2019, she assumed the position of special adviser to the President of the New Democracy Party, focusing on energy and mineral resources matters.
Academically, Mrs. Sdoukou holds a degree in Law from the Democritus University of Thrace. She furthered her education by obtaining an LL.M. in European Commercial Law from the University of Bristol, as well as an MSc. in International and Economic Studies from the Athens University of Economics.
She married and a devoted mother of three children which is the greatest, yet most rewarding, challenge in her life.
