Biography

He was born in Athens, in 1977 and has graduated from the Department of Informatics
and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He
also holds a master’s degree in Quality Management and Technology.
From June 2023 to June 2024, he served as Alternate Minister of Interior. Previously
he served as Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, until May 2023 and Deputy
Minister to the Prime Minister, from January to August 2021. He also served as Deputy
Minister of Interior, responsible for local self-government and electoral issues, from
July 2019 to January 2021.
From the election of Kyriakos Mitsotakis as the Party Leader of New Democracy, in
2016, until July 2019, he was the party’s Director of Information Technology and head
of the digital campaign of the May 2019 European elections, as well as the July 2019
National elections.
Until January 2015, he served as the Secretary General of the Ministry of
Administrative Reform and e-Governance and from January 2011 to August 2014, he
served as the Secretary General of the Municipality of Athens. In 2010, he was a Special
Adviser to the Minister of Interior, Decentralization and e-Government, and worked on
the preparation for the implementation of the new institutional framework for Local
Self-Government (the “Kallikratis” program) and the law on electoral expenditure for
the Municipal and Regional elections.
For over a decade, he has worked in IT and market research companies in the private
sector, as a computer programmer, database administrator and data research analyst.
