Biography

He was born in Athens in 1966. He holds a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Greek Philology from Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Sustainable Local Development. He is a Doctor of Architecture (Ph.D) in the Department of Urban Planning – Spatial Planning of the National Technical University of Athens. He speaks English and German. He has participated as a guest speaker in many forums and conferences regarding urban environment and culture issues, on which he has published several studies in scientific journals. He has published several books for rhetoric, ancient Greeks and history in Livanis Publications and Hellenic Literature Publications. His book “The physiognomy of the Greek urban environment through literature” is due to be published by EURASIA publications. His articles are frequently published in the daily and periodical press. He has served as President and CEO in Public Limited Companies of the wider public sector and local government. He works as a certified education executive in an International Baccalaureate (IB) authorized educational program. From 2019 until 2023 he served as Secretary General of Citizenship in the Ministry of Interior. Since August 2023 until today he serves as Secretary General of Interior and Organization in the Ministry of Interior. Since March 2024 until today he also serves as Secretary General of Local Governance and Decentralization in the Ministry of Interior.
